Axis Europe Limited and Premier Property and Construction Limited fined £800,000 after a trapped load was released and pulled a labourer off scaffolding

What happened

During an unplanned lifting operation on a refurbishment project at Cathcart Hill, a load became trapped. When a labourer attempted to free it, the released load pulled him over the edge of the scaffold.

Injuries: Life-changing injuries.
