What happened

An apprentice machinist, less than a year into the job, had a shirt caught in a radial-arm drill and was pulled into the machine.

Injuries: Three broken ribs, severe chest injuries requiring skin grafts, hospitalised five days, off work six months, permanent scarring and loss of feeling.
