On 4 June 2024 a 25-year-old bricklayer fell through a collapsed upper floor of a house under construction in Oldham, after the floor was overloaded with concrete blocks and not built to manufacturer specification. Investigators also found unsafe scaffolding, inadequate work-at-height arrangements and insufficient competent site supervision.
Injuries: Fractures to right leg, hip and left hand, requiring surgery and one month in hospital.
