A joiner fell through an unsecured skylight opening after a plywood board placed over it gave way while he was building a timber roof frame on a domestic property. The roof work had not been adequately planned, managed or supervised.
Injuries: Complete spinal cord injury resulting in paralysis from the waist down, plus a head injury, fractured ribs and a fractured sternum; requires self-catheterisation.
