A worker was cleaning a sausage roll production line at the company's Sheerness, Kent site when she passed her hand through an unguarded conveyor roller. The line had initially been switched off but began to operate while she was cleaning it, and her arm was pulled into the rotating roller.
Injuries: Multiple fractures, including a broken arm.

Employers must take effective measures to prevent access to dangerous moving parts, normally with fixed guarding, or interlocked guards where routine access is required.
