HSE became aware in June 2024 of three reports of vibration-related illness among employees. During the investigation, inspectors identified a further three employees who met the threshold for reporting, and a seventh report was made by the company later that year, bringing the total to seven affected workers. The company had failed to assess vibration risks, put control measures in place, provide health surveillance or deliver adequate training.
Injuries: Workers experienced finger blanching, numbness in the hands at night, loss of grip strength and nerve damage affecting daily life.

Vibration exposure needs a formal risk assessment, exposure controls and health surveillance long before workers start reporting symptoms.
